Jason Saab has joined the Manly Warringah Sea Eagles after a long, drawn-out exit from the St George Illawarra Dragons.
Saab got his first taste of NRL in 2019 when he made his debut against the South Sydney Rabbitohs in Round 19 where he scored two tries.
He played two more games that year but only played four games in 2020 between Round 7 and Round 11, before a highly publicised exit from the club led him to the Sea Eagles.
Saab has been part of the NSWRL Pathways Program for some time now. He has represented his state at both the Under-18s and 20s level in the past few years, while also being picked for the Australian schoolboys.
He then was named as one of the 16 Future Blues in Brad Fittler’s 64-man squad of NSW players who attended a two-day camp in December 2019.
Saab will definitely be looking to secure a permanent spot in the Sea Eagles’ first grade side in 2021. Currently the wingers are Jorge Taufua and Reuben Garrick so he has a battle on his hands during the pre-season to line up for Round 1 against the Roosters.
