When asked for the definition of a versatile player, the top of everyone’s mind is Shaun Timmins.

The young boy from Kiama always dreamt of representing the region of Illawarra. Shaun Timmins lived the dream, playing 86 first grade matches for Illawarra followed by 124 for St George Illawarra after the merger.

Shaun could play in any position asked of him, regularly appearing in the second row, lock, five-eighth and was Paul McGregor’s centre partner in the joint venture’s maiden season.

Throughout Timmins’ immaculate career he represented his state on nine occasions, scoring three tries as well as that amazing field-goal.

Watch Timmins chat exclusively with Steve ‘Blocker’ Roach on Turn Back Time, in the video above.

You can catch Turn Back Time, profiling NSWRL's greatest Origin players, each Thursday from 6pm exclusively on NSWRL.com.au.
