Having missed just one game this season and earning a deserved NRL call-up, Eloni Vunakece has been anything but trash in 2016.
The prop has been a stalwart at Wyong for some time and is known throughout the competition for his hard running and uncompromising defence. He is a typical workhorse and had come close to an NRL debut on several occasions throughout his career but in Round 4, at the ripe old age of 28, Vunakece was handed his first Roosters jersey. He lost no fans in his stint either, with his brief appearances off the bench continuing until Round 14.
For the Roos, the celebrated garbage collector has continued to ply his trade ever since and while he is yet to cross the stripe, he has been a key part of their success so far this season. Having represented Fiji on seven occasions, Vunakece is no stranger to big games and will undoubtedly rise to the challenge against the Bulldogs tomorrow afternoon.
