The conditions were horrid, but that did not stop four Intrust Super Premiership NSW sides giving it their all in a bid to book a spot in this Sunday's Grand Final.
Mounties were down 18-6 at half-time, but chipped away at the Wests Tigers defence in the second half to eventuate 24-18 victors.
Illawarra were also down to the Newtown Jets, but second-half persistance proved to be the theme in both finals, as they laid on two late tries to win the match 18-10.
The results means that the top two teams on the ladder will play each other at Pirtek Stadium for the ultimate prize.
