Shaking off a knee complaint that kept him out of club side the Roosters’ Round 14 win over the Wests Tigers, VB Blues captain Boyd Cordner has given an assurance of his fitness when addressing the media on Tuesday.
A bystander at the tri-colours’ 40-18 win at Campbelltown last Sunday, Cordner said he will be right to go come Wednesday week’s Game Two.
“[The knee] is okay, if I had to play on Sunday against the Tigers I would have been right,” Cordner said
“After speaking with Trent [Robinson] and the medical staff, he said it was best to, in the long run, have the week off. It was more of a long-term thought process.
“I’ll be right to train fully with the boys, it’s 'normal' for me now.”
See as Cordner also spoke of the VB Blues’ hopes against a new-look Queensland outfit, as well as what it would mean to he and to the state to secure Origin honours.
