The NSW Rugby League sends its deepest condolences to the family and friends of former Souths, Norths and NSW representative centre Bob Honeysett who passed away recently.

Honeysett played with the Rabbitohs from 1954 to 1957, before linking with the Bears in 1958 and 1959. He represented NSW Firsts on four occasions in 1956, 1959 and 1962, also lining up for NSW Country Firsts in 1962.

“It is always a sad day when we lose a True Blue, one of the members of the New South Wales Rugby League family,” NSWRL CEO David Trodden said.

“On behalf of everyone in NSWRL I pass on my condolences to Bob's family on their loss.”
