Keith “Yappy” Holman had a rough start to life and received a few knockbacks before he was finally graded, yet he went on to have a marvellous playing career that he later added to as a referee, coach and administrator. The diminutive halfback was as tough as any player of his era, and had a copybook defensive technique that bruised more than just reputations.
