From the time he burst onto the representative scene in 1959 there was something special about Reg Gasnier. His athleticism and speed were allied with a grace that mesmerized opposition defences and thrilled fans. In a team of stars at St George he was in a galaxy of his own, and he was just as effective at state and international level.
