The Illawarra Cutters defeated the Manly-Warringah Sea Eagles 26-4 at WIN Stadium, Wollongong on Saturday.

The Cutters inflicted five tries in the victory with winger Geoff Daniela scoring a brace.

The win was a result of a dominant performance by the Cutters establishing a strong foundation from their defence and utilizing expansive offensive play.

The game started out as an even affair with the stalemate finally broken in the 20th minute with a Geoff Daniela try coming off the end of the quick hands of Charly Runciman.

Kyle Stanley converted the try to give the Cutters a 6-0 lead.

The Cutters continued their momentum with a close range try to Leeson Ah Mau off the back of a strong run.

Stanley converted to make it 12-0.

The 33rd minute saw Geoff Daniela get his second try of the contest with a long range effort after capitalizing on a mistake by Manly.

Stanley converted to make it 18-0.

The Cutters continued their dominance in the second half extending their lead through a Josh Ailaomai try to extend the score to 22-0.

Manly secured a consolation try late in the game through Matt Ikuvalu to get on the score board at 22-4.

The game ended with a late Cutters try to Craig Garvey.

The Cutters will be back at it this weekend when they head to the Central Coast to face Wyong while Manly take on the Jets in a must win match.
