A fifth-placed regular-season finish and a Finals Week One playoffs exit in 2014 has left Mounties hungry for an even better performance this year.

And, with a group of fresh faces arriving at the club for the 2015 season, there’s no reason why they can’t improve on their efforts too.

“We’re very excited about season 2015. After qualifying for the semi-finals last year for the first time, the club wants to be a part of that time of the year again,” Mounties VB NSW Cup coach Steve Antonelli said

“We’ve assembled a good roster and with the new recruits in Canberra we are looking to perform well again… We want to be consistent all year round.”

Antonelli pointed at two new recruits as players to watch in 2015.

“Willie Mataka (Cutters) and Pat Mataele (Wentworthville) have both been in systems and are leaders both on and off the field.”
