The intensity has been lifted at Camp Coffs as the NSW VB Blues ramp-up their preparations heading into Origin II at the MCG on Wednesday night.
Laurie Daley’s men are upping the ante in the lead-up to their do-or-die clash in Melbourne, with back-to-back contact sessions in store for the VB Blues at their Coffs Harbour base.
Electrifying centre Josh Morris, who scored one of the great Origin tries in game one of this series, believes the next couple of days are vital to his side’s title defence.
“It’s been good, the intensity’s up on last camp and that’s what we want to see heading into Game II. We want to make sure we’re getting those areas right we didn’t get right in the first game,” Morris said.
The centre’s sentiments are echoed by club and VB Blues team-mate Josh Jackson who says the side will lay it all on the line to exorcise the game one demons and square the series.
The NSW VB Blues fly into Melbourne on Sunday before finalising their preparations on Monday and Tuesday. A crowd of 85,000 is expected for the MCG clash, but there are still tickets available.
