"Losers have meetings, winners have parties."
Those were the six words Queensland prop Josh McGuire wrote on Twitter soon after the Maroons secured their 10th State of Origin series in 11 years.
They're also the six words that could have dire consequences for McGuire if Blues boppers Andrew Fifita and David Klemmer have their way once Origin III kicks off on Wednesday night
Perhaps the media did McGuire a disservice when informing Fifita of what he wrote after Queensland's 26-16 Origin II win.
"Now you've told me that and I know what he said, I can use that as a bit of motivation. I'll tell the boys about it too," Fifita said.
"Josh McGuire can say all he wants to be honest.
"If we get a bite back, we get a bite back but at the end of the day he didn't get one fast play the ball and was dominated by us in Game Two.
"I'm not scared of him and I'm not scared of anyone in his team either."
Klemmer was a little more subdued than his Blues teammate Fifita – surprising considering his past run-ins with retiring Queensland lock Corey Parker – but suggested the Broncos prop might get a bit of extra attention on Wednesday night.
"He might get some special attention from some of the boys but I think most of them aren't too worried about him. He wants to be the attention seeker but he's not going to get... or he might get it," Klemmer laughed.
"I think he got a bit too excited the big fella. But a couple of New South Wales supporters got stuck into him and hammered him.
"If he thinks that's the right thing to say then so be it."
Oozing with confidence, Fifita's fearlessness hasn't just come from the experience he's gained in his six Origin games so far.
The 27-year-old said when in the right head space, he is one of the world's best players and only injuries getting the best of him will deny him Origin games in the future.
"I've never felt threatened when it came to Origin, it's just who I am. I like to take a bit of arrogance and cockiness into these games because I don't feel fear," Fifita said.
"I'm not afraid of anyone to be honest. It's just who I am. It's another game, playing against the world's best players I guess.
"These are the games you want to play in and I just can't wait to get out there in all honesty. It gives us an opportunity to play against the best and I've proved that up I'm up there with the best."
