The New South Wales Rugby League in August announced the formation of a new under-18s female competition, the Tarsha Gale Cup, to run alongside existing Junior Representative competitions in 2017.
Named after former Australian and NSW captain Tarsha Gale, the game-leading tournament will develop the best of the best in the age group as NSWRL push towards an elite female league.
It will be a nine-week competition, commencing on 11 February 2017 and including sides from:
- Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs
- Penrith Panthers
- Cronulla Sharks
- Canberra Raiders
- South Sydney Rabbitohs

- Wests Tigers
