NSW Captain Boyd Cordner has vowed to bring his own method of captaincy and leadership to the VB Blues on Wednesday (31 May) night.
In a toned-down preparation absent of a cross-border slanging match, an 'apologetic' Cordner says it's his quiet - but assertive - style of captaincy, which will hold the state in good stead.
"I'm not going to try to be someone or something I'm not," Cordner says.
"This is a different beast, there's a lot more pressure and I'm happy to take that on board.
"This time of the year normally something comes out to hype it up, I've got to apologise, [banter] is not my style, I've got a lot of respect for Queensland."
