The tireless Aaron Woods again turned out impressive numbers throughout the 2017 Origin campaign, so often getting the Blues onto the front foot, and setting the tone for the side’s sets of six.

Headline Moment: “Woods Welcomes Holmes To Origin”

Cronulla Sharks and Queensland back Valentine Holmes was left well aware of what the Origin arena holds when on the receiving end of an Aaron Woods bell-ringer to start Origin II.

Bringing possession back from his own end, Holmes felt the full force of Woods’ hit-and-stick contact, losing the ball and gifting the NSW side possession deep inside the Maroons’ half.

His Future:

After making his NRL debut with the Wests Tigers in 2011, Woods finds a new home at the Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs in 2018, joining fellow NSW Blues forward and good friend David Klemmer at the Belmore base.

With 14 NSW matches to his name, Woods will be hopeful that the change of scenery brings out his best football to start the 2018 season, in search of adding to his personal tally of Origin appearances.
