The success of the NSW Rugby League brand has continued off the field with the announcement of new naming rights partner, Brydens Lawyers.
The three-year deal will see Brydens Lawyers feature as the Blues' front-of-jersey partner, with the State of Origin team to be known as the Brydens Lawyers NSW Blues from 2018.
Brydens Lawyers has established a reputation for providing expert legal advice and representation for more than four decades, with an outstanding knowledge of the law, professionalism and the highest level of client service at an affordable price.
NSWRL Chairman Dr George Peponis OAM was thrilled by the newest partnership with one of the largest and leading law firms in NSW.
“We look forward to a long and prosperous relationship with Brydens Lawyers, benefiting both parties. Our partnership with Brydens Lawyers underlines the strength of the NSW Blues brand and the NSWRL’s commercial strategy,” Dr Peponis said.
Principal of Brydens Lawyers, Lee Hagipantelis, said: “The NSW Blues is beyond doubt the strongest sporting brand in the state and we think that Brydens Lawyers is the strongest legal brand. Brydens Lawyers has invested significantly in Rugby League in NSW for some time and there was an inevitability to Brydens Lawyers joining with the NSW Blues as the naming rights partner.
"There is a great synergy between the two organisations. Both have a commitment to excellence and they strive for success in representing the people of NSW. This is an incredibly exciting time to partner with the NSW Blues. There is a new coach and a new front of jersey partner. It is a new beginning and we are honoured to be a part of it. Brydens Lawyers stands up for the people of NSW. It now stands with its greatest sporting team.”
Brydens Lawyers is also joined by new apparel partner, Canterbury, who has helped shape the new-look Blues jersey for next season, using cutting-edge technology to enhance the playing strip while incorporating the traditional “chevron” that is synonymous with Rugby League
The jersey also features a silicone grip to enhance ball handling in all weather conditions and a unique “Loop 17” neckline featuring double-layer high-stretch fabrics with reinforced webbing tape.
Canterbury APAC Managing Director, Jamie Meikleham, said: “We are excited about our return as a sponsor of the NSW Blues State of Origin side. Canterbury always delivers the highest performance garments to give the players the edge as well as providing the fans the best quality replica ranges to support their team.”
Long-term sleeve partner NIB has extended its partnership for the next three seasons, while the renewal of The Star as the back-of-jersey sponsor for a further three years will continue to help harness the passion of the Blatchys Blues. As revealed in August, Tooheys has agreed to terms as the Blues’ shorts sponsor for the next four years.
Off the field the strength of the NSWRL commercial strategy is greater than it’s ever been, with Blues apparel amassing a 16-percent year-on-year growth, stamping its mark as one of Australia’s most lucrative brands.
The NSWRL will be announcing an exciting new partnership in coming weeks.
