The Victorian Thunderbolts have decided to sick strong with the coaching staff that delivered success in the Hastings Deering Colts and Mal Meninga Cup competitions in 2018, retaining a majority of personnel as 2019 pre-season comes to fruition in the coming weeks.
Ben Jack has been re-appointed as Head-Coach of the Under 20s side after guiding them to a top-four finish and Week Two of the Finals at season's end, while Janan Billings has been named to coach the Under 18s squad after helping the side finish in 8th at the end of the regular season.
Ben Jack spoke of the excitement of extending his tenure as he looks towards the commencement of pre-season on November 17.
"I am very excited to take on the position again, the opportunity to work with some exciting young players and an experienced coaching staff will no doubt lead to exciting times in 2019," Mr. Jack said.
The Thunderbolts will make a welcome return to the NSWRL next season, ending a four-year absence which will see them field teams in the Jersey Flegg (Under 20s) and UNE SG Ball (Under 18s) competitions.
The Under 18s squad start their pre-season today (November 5) with Round One kicking-off on February 9th.
