The South Sydney Rabbitohs have announced the signing of former Australian Schoolboys and Junior Kiwis representative Tom Amone for the next two seasons.
Amone enjoyed a dominant 2018 campaign with the Blacktown Workers Sea Eagles and was rewarded with a place in the Team of the Year at season's end.
The barnstorming forward is a valuable addition to the Rabbitohs forward pack which already boasts the likes of Sam Burgress, Cameron Murray and George Burgess.
Amone spoke of his excitement surrounding his arrival at the foundation club as searches for a first-grade debut under new coach Wayne Bennett
“I’m really looking forward to the next two years and doing my best for the Rabbitohs,” Amone said.
“It means a lot to me to get this opportunity to play with such a great club alongside some of the best players in Rugby League.
“I also have the chance to work under one of the greatest coaches of all time in Wayne (Bennett), so I will be doing my best to help the team win for my team mates and the Members, and to make the most of thisopportunity I have been given.”
