Soward says: Knights had a tough win over the Warriors in tricky conditions at home. While they haven't been too consistent in 2019 I think they will try and take some confidence out of that against a team like the Bulldogs who are up the top of the competition ladder. The Bulldogs continue to be one of the standouts of this competition year to year and I think they'll come away with a comfortable win away from home. Knights by 12.

South Sydney Rabbitohs v Blacktown Workers Sea Eagles

Soward says: South Sydney had a real lean period throughout the last few weeks with Origin and they were tested with what they were able to put on the field. Recently they have got back to their defensive structures and while not conceding points they have been able to run up some big scores. For Blacktown Workers, it's a chance for them to be the spoiler for these teams like the Rabbitohs who are contending for the premiership but can't see that happening this weekend. Souths by 20.

North Sydney Bears v Newtown Jets

Soward says: The Bears were outstanding last week and really stayed in the grind off the back of some strong performances from Max Bailey, Drew Hutchison and their halves in Lachlan Lam and Brock Lamb. I'm expecting another solid effort from North Sydney up against quality opposition in the Jets. They continue to perform under pressure and they were under hard duress a few months ago but have now put themselves in a great position to compete for the title. This will be the match of the round but think the Bears have too much class. Bears by 6.

Soward says: I think this game will probably be really defining in where these two teams end up at season's end one way or another. Wests, for me, need to fix their discipline because they continue to put themselves under pressure and that builds on their efforts on either side of the ball. You look at Wentworthville without Bevan French who has been their key in attack and been responsible for a lot of their points in 2019 and will rely on their playmakers to now compete. I expect Wests to bounce back after two poor losses and will be much more physical from start to finish. Wests by 6.

St George Illawarra Dragons v Mounties

Soward says: The Dragons are one of the teams who have had guys go up and spend time in the NRL and now we get a chance to see what they have learned and hopefully hold that standard. The Mounties, they have continued to falter and have had a really lean month and can't seem to get back to the style of footy that saw them win games earlier in the year. I think the Dragons will be too strong and got them to win by 8.
