NSWRL worked hard with a number of Rugby League Clubs to achieve Blue Shield accreditation in 2019 with 29 clubs now recognised for their efforts on and off the field.
Blue Shield is a program built to recognise and develop Junior League Clubs with their management and governance structures to attract and retain Rugby League members, increase funding opportunities and to create a healthy environment.
“When NSWRL announced the Blue Shield Program, our Club saw it as a great opportunity to undergo a thorough ‘health check’ and throughout the process we had fantastic support and encouragement from our local NSWRL Club and Competitions Coordinator,” said Clovelly Crocodiles Club Secretary Leanne Bergan.
“Blue Shield accreditation gives out members and sponsors confidence that we are building a sustainable club for the future with strong governance.”
