Tevita Funa has been a revelation for the Manly Warringah Sea Eagles since his first-grade debut in Round 5 of the 2020 NRL season and has made the left-wing his own with three tries in four appearances.

He enjoyed a memorable debut against the Brisbane Broncos, scoring the opening try for his side that ultimately sparked a come-from-behind victory after they trailed 18-0 early in the first-half.

He has been a core part of the Sea Eagles junior ranks in recent years, having been part of their premiership-winning Under 20s side in 2017 – and finished his tenure in the squad with 31 tries from 44 games.

It's no surprise that Funa has made a seamless transition into the top grade, recording three tries, six tackle-breaks while averaging 105m per game.

He has recorded 18 Canterbury Cup NSW games for the Blacktown Workers Sea Eagles across two-seasons, scoring nine tries in the process.

He has again been named for the Sea Eagles in their clash against the St George Illawarra Dragons in Round 9.
