Belrose Eagles will look to continue their blistering start to the revamped Sydney Shield campaign when they go head-to-head with fellow premiership contender Hills District Bulls at Crestwood Reserve on Saturday.
The Eagles remain as the only undefeated team with three wins so far and due to the postponement of their Round 1 clash against Moorebank Rams. Both opening round fixtures that were postponed due to COVID-19 restrictions have been deemed a draw.
The Eagles have built an ominous case as the team to beat in 2020 with an almighty defensive record that has seen them concede an average of 10 points per game.
Meanwhile, the Bulls have, statistically, the best attack in the competition having scored 140 points in their three fixtures.
A victory over the ladder-leaders could see them surpass their counterparts and potentially steal first place – pending the result of the Ryde Eastwood Hawks match against Wentworthville.
The Hawks are currently placed second while Wentworthville sit last as they have not recorded a win this year. They join East Campbelltown as the only two teams who are yet to taste victory, with the Eagles looking to break the duck against current top-four side, Cronulla Caringbah Sharks.
