Stats Amazing | Morgan Harper

Although the Sea Eagles endured a heartbreaking 34-32 defeat to the Wests Tigers on Saturday night, there was a glimpse of what the future can hold for the Sea Eagles with the performances of Morgan Harper and debutant Josh Schuster.

The duo were called upon by coach Des Hasler for their Round 17 clash with their cruelled by injury and their finals hopes hanging by a thread.

Harper left no stone unturned in his maiden first-grade appearance for the Sea Eagles with two tries, two line-breaks, 114m, and 17 tackles while Schuster also produced some stunning touches with football.

A premiership-winner with the Bulldogs in the Canterbury Cup NSW in 2018, Harper was a Grand Final-hero famously remembered for a clutch one-on-one strip for a match-winning try to claim a 18-12 victory over Newtown Jets at Leichhardt Oval.

Thd dynamic outside back was touted by many as the heir to the throne of Josh Morris' no.3 jersey when the stalwart departed to the Sharks for the 2019 season, however, has now found a home at Manly which has culminated into a memorable club debut.

He represented NSW Residents last season before earning an NRL debut in Round 25 and deservedly earned his place in the Canterbury Cup NSW Team of the Year.

With the Sea Eagles season all but over following their agonizing defeat in Round 17, it provides a golden opportunity for Harper to prove his worth ahead of the 2021 campaign.
