Long-serving regional Rugby League administrator  Peter Clarke has been appointed to the new role of State Manager to lead the implementation of an important Project for the NSW Rugby League.

Clarke, who has been with the NSWRL/ CRL since 2007, most recently as the Western Division Regional Area Manager, will head up the Project Climb organisational structure to be implemented from November.

Project Climb involves the integration of NRL Game Development Officers in the structures of the governing bodies of the states.

Clarke said: “I’ve been fortunate to learn from a terrific team of volunteers and staff across clubs and Leagues in Western Division and feel honoured to have an opportunity to lead a new era of community Rugby League in New South Wales.”

NSWRL Head of Football Robert Lowrie said Clarke was the ideal choice for the new role.

“He is a highly regarded administrator and the skills he has built upon in the last 13 years will certainly be of value,” Lowrie said

“Peter’s efforts in the Western region haven’t gone unnoticed and this role will give him the opportunity to work in other areas across the state for the betterment of the game.”
