True Blue and former St George Illawarra coach Paul McGregor has been appointed coach of the Men’s Under 19s Origin team with four of the seven head coaching positions for representative pathways teams to be held by former players who have worn the sky blue jumper.
True Blues Beau Scott (Country Open), Brett Kimmorley (City Under 18s) and Trent Hodkinson (City Under 16s) have also been appointed as head coaches, Mark O’Meley (Under 19s) and Terry Campese (Country Open) assistant coaches and Steve Simpson (Country Under 16s) team manager.
“The NSWRL is pleased to announce the coaching appointments for all our Junior Representative teams and it’s great to see several positions being held by True Blues,” NSWRL Head of Football Robert Lowrie said.
“All of those players wore the sky blue jumper with distinction and they will be able to pass on their experience to the next generation of stars coming through. It’s great to see them reinvesting in the game and I’m confident this will set the NSWRL up for future success.”
