Brydens Lawyers NSW Blues and Sydney Roosters captain James Tedesco has finished the year on a high note by confirming his engagement to fiancée Maria Glinellis.
Tedesco popped the question to his partner of two years while on holiday in Menangle over the weekend, with the pair taking to Instagram to share the announcement.
The engagement is a fitting way to round out a memorable season for Tedesco, who took on the captaincy role full time for both his club and his state following the retirement of Boyd Cordner.
He led NSW to a history making Ampol State of Origin series victory after coach Brad Fittler’s team recorded their biggest ever winning margin in Game One and became the first Blues team to win the Shield with all three matches played on Queensland soil. The NSW fullback was also awarded a record fourth consecutive Jack Gibson Medal for the Roosters’ Best and Fairest player.
The NSWRL extends its congratulations to both James and Maria.
