The NSWRL Board is very pleased to announce the appointment of The Hon. Kevin Greene to fill the casual vacancy in the office of Appointed Director representing the Metropolitan Members.
Greene is currently the Chair of the NSW Referees Association and is a sports administrator with impeccable credentials.
He has at different times been NSW Minister for Gaming and Racing; Minister for Sport and Recreation; and Minister for Major Events.
Greene was the first Mayor of Georges River Council, and has a lengthy and highly decorated career in cricket administration.
Acting Chairman John Anderson OAM said: “His experience and talent will add much to the Board of our organisation and much to the game. We are lucky to have him.”
Having filled the casual vacancy, the Board will now commence a process to appoint an independent Chair of the Board.
