Game One Guide – State Of Origin

The Brydens Lawyers NSW Blues host the Queensland Maroons in Game One of the 2022 Ampol State Of Origin Series at Accor Stadium on Wednesday 8 June. 

Stadium Timings

5:00PM - Gates Open 
5:15PM - Kick Off: NSW Police v Queensland Police 
7:30PM - Pre-match Entertainment. This Includes delivery of the Ampol State Of Origin Shield by True Blues Boyd Cordner and Paul Gallen, assisted by mascot Bruce Healer
8:10PM - Kick Off: Brydens Lawyers NSW Blues v Queensland Maroons 

Blatchys Blues Wigs and T-Shirts 

Blatchys Blues ticket holders will be able to collect their Blatchys wig and t-shirt on the night of Origin One at Accor stadium from Box office G and the adjacent marquee from 5pm.  

Please note, t-shirts only come in L and XL sizes, and tickets must be presented to receive your gear.  

What’s On? 

  • The Sydney Olympic Park precinct lights up from 4.00pm with music, merchandise, 30 food trucks.  
  • There are also extended bars at The Locker Room, The Lounge and The Brewery Bar, where there will be a live performance of ‘The New Anthem’ from punk band, These New South Whales.
  • At light tower 3 on the eastern precinct, Brydens Lawyers will be there with SEN and KARI where there will be prizes and giveaways to be won.  

Transport 

Fans are encouraged to plan their trip and consider all of the available travel options ahead of time. 

Public Transport 

All tickets include entry and return travel on all public transport services including Sydney Trains services, Sydney Olympic Park Major Event Buses and regular Sydney Buses services, Sydney Ferries and Light Rail services. 

The entitlement extends throughout the Sydney Metropolitan rail network and to the regional cities of Newcastle and Wollongong, and beyond to Bomaderry, Goulburn, Bathurst, Scone and Dungog stations (non-booked services). 

  • Plan your trip and arrive early using the Transport for NSW Trip Planner
  • Express and limited-stop trains to Olympic Park will run regularly from Central and Western Line stations to get you to game, with frequent return services running after the match to get you home.
  • From Olympic Park station, Accor Stadium is a short 10 minute walk away.
  • Sydney Olympic Park Major Event Buses will run on all nine routes to Olympic Park frequently from around 3.10 pm, depending on the route.
  • Frequent return services will run after full-time. 

Driving to the Stadium 

  • Pre-book your parking online, spots won’t be available for day-of parking. 
  • Traffic will be heavier than usual on roads approaching the precinct during the busy evening peak, so allow extra travel time. You can find real-time updates on traffic conditions at livetraffic.com
