While traveling the NSW North Coast for the Transport for NSW Regional Roadshow, True Blues Mark O’Meley and Matt Cooper were treated to a chat with former South Sydney Rabbitohs five-eighth Jack O’Connor, who played alongside one of Rugby League’s original Immortals, Clive Churchill.

O’Connor, who played with Churchill throughout the 1948-49 seasons, ran into the former Origin stars at Paradise Marina Café in Forster while the pair were spreading the message of road safety to local teenagers throughout the region.

O’Connor played alongside club legends such as Ernie Hammerton OAM who played in the Rabbitohs golden era winning three straight premierships from 1954-56.
