Harvey Norman NSW Sky Blues prop Millie Boyle has withdrawn from the Australian Jillaroos squad for the Rugby League World Cup two days after winning the 2022 NRLW Premiership.
Boyle has opted to stay in Australia and continue to work on her business Trainer Group rather than travelling to England with the Jillaroos. Trainer Group helps facilitate workshops such as ‘Game Changer’ program which aims to help people with disabilities gain new skills and an understanding of what lies ahead for them in the job market.

Boyle announced the decision via her Instagram on Tuesday.
“Unfortunately, due to my work commitments with Trainer Group it isn’t possible for me to be away for the period of time required overseas,” said Boyle.
“This year has been amazing presenting our inclusive programs across the NRL, but a challenge juggling football commitments at the same time.
“I will therefore be using the off-season to work on new programs and planning out a massive 2023 for our participants. I am obviously upset I won’t be able to experience the World Cup but will be cheering on the girls every step of the way.”
It’s been an incredible year so far for Boyle after winning the Dally M, reclaiming the Women’s State of Origin shield, and topping it all off by captaining the Knights to a NRLW Premiership in their first year in the competition.
The Ignite HQ NSWRL Centre of Excellence played host to Boyle’s program back in July, where 20 special guests got a first-hand insight into the life of a State of Origin star.
The program also helps NDIS participants with an interest Rugby League improve their confidence, build social connection, and learn the basic skills of the game.
