NSWRL partner Tooheys has donated $10,000 to the Camden Rams following the success of ‘The Tedesco Inn’ campaign that took place during the 2023 Ampol State of Origin Series.
The Plough and Harrow was transformed into ‘The Tedesco Inn’ to unite NSW fans to cheer and celebrate teamwork and community while also supporting Westpac NSW Blues Captain James Tedesco throughout the series.
Between 22 May and 12 July 2023, Tooheys donated 50 cents to Tedesco’s junior club for every schooner of Tooheys sold at The Tedesco Inn.
NSWRL Chief Executive David Trodden joined Tooheys at The Plough and Harrow in Sydney’s West this week to hand over the formal cheque to the Camden Rams Club President Greg Copeland.
“Connecting a valued partner like Tooheys to a community club like Camden Rams through the vehicle of our State of Origin team allows us to celebrate so many of the most important features of our organisation,” Trodden said.
“Thank you to Tooheys for the support which they always provide to us.”
Lion Australia Head of Marketing for Core Beer, Chris Allen, said being able to give back to grassroots Rugby League was a proud moment for the Tooheys brand.
“The Tooheys Tedesco Inn activation was a celebration of the spirit of the community and teamwork, and we are so proud to present a $10,000 donation to the Camden Rams,” he said.
“Tooheys is committed to playing our part as a key partner of the NSWRL to support the local clubs that foster the talent of the future.”
The funds donated to the Camden Rams will go towards further development and promotion of the women’s Rugby League program and towards game-day equipment and facilities.
