Harvey Norman Sky Blues centre Isabelle Kelly will be with the Sydney Roosters NRLW club for another three seasons signing her first multi-year deal this week.
The 27 year-old, who just finished her second year as Roosters captain, will now stay until the end of 2026.
It’s been a big week for the Sky Blues and Jillaroos star as she was named Dally M Centre of the Year, alongside Broncos’ Mele Hufanga, as well as extending her time in the Tri-Colours jersey. She was a foundation player in the inaugural 2018 season.
"This club means so much to me, and I believe we have what it takes to achieve even greater success in the coming years," she told roosters.com.au
"I can't wait to continue the journey with my amazing teammates and with ‘Strangey’ (NRLW Head Coach John Strange) and the staff here at the Roosters."
She has been NSWRL’s Representative Player of the Year three times – 2018, 2021, 2022 – and has played for NSW nine times including all seven State of Origin matches since the annual interstate game was given Origin status in 2018.
Her 2023 NRLW season for the Roosters was another powerful one down that left edge with five tries, six try assists, 10 line breaks and averaging 182 metres per game.
Roosters CEO and NSWRL Board member said the club was fortunate to have one of the game’s highest-profile players within its ranks.
"Isabelle embodies the Roosters' values and commitment to excellence, and her leadership on and off the field is unmatched, so we are delighted that she has extended for a further three years," Kelly said.
