True Blue Josh Jackson has been appointed as the 2024 Jersey Flegg head coach for the Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs.
Jackson was a part of the 2023 Jersey Flegg coaching staff, playing a guiding role in the Bulldogs premiership-winning season. They beat the Sydney Roosters 22-20 in September’s grand final at CommBank Stadium.
Since he retired from playing at the start of 2023, Jackson has stayed heavily involved with the club assisting the strength and conditioning team with the up-and-coming players through the Bulldogs Academy.
The former NSW Blues back rower was also assistant coach alongside True Blue Andrew Ryan for this year’s NSW Under 19s State of Origin team, who enjoyed a 32-14 win over Queensland in July.
Jackson played 241 NRL games for the Bulldogs along with nine appearances for the Westpac NSW Blues – winning the Brad Fittler Medal in 2016.
The Bulldogs also announced the appointment of True Blue Steve Turner as the 2024 SG Ball Cup coach along with former Jersey Flegg coach Luke Vella being promoted to NRL assistant coach.
