Eight Sky Blues in NRLW Dream Team

Eight Sky Blues have been named in the 2024 NRLW Dream Team after a poll conducted by members of the Rugby League Players Association (RLPA).

Seven players were voted by their peers for the starting 13 positions with a 14th added as an impact player for the first time since the RLPA named its first women’s Dream Team in 2021.

This year the impact player is Sky Blues debutant in 2024 and Canberra Raiders prop, Grace Kemp.

The NSW players are: centre Isabelle Kelly, props Sarah Togatuki and Ellie Johnston, hooker Quincy Dodd, second rowers Olivia Kernick and Yasmin Clydsdale, lock Simaima Taufa, and Kemp.

It is the second year in a row the entire back row has been NSW Sky Blues players.

Kelly joins Togatuki, Kernick, Clydsdale and Taufa in a select group of players, who have appeared in two Dream Teams.

Cronulla-Sutherland Sharks players Johnston and Dodd will face Sydney Roosters players Kelly and Kernick in this Sunday’s (6 October) NRLW Grand Final.

The eight NSW players follow eight True Blues named in the RLPA’s 2024 NRL Dream Team last week.
