State of Origin schedules released for 2025

The schedule has been released today for the 2025 Ampol State of Origin series for both the men’s and women’s teams and NSW fans will have plenty to look forward to with the Westpac NSW Blues finishing their campaign in Sydney while the Westpac NSW Women’s Origin team will have two games in NSW for the first time in history.

The Westpac NSW Blues will start their campaign at Suncorp Stadium in Brisbane on Wednesday 28 May; return to Optus Stadium in Perth for the first time since 2022 for Game Two on Wednesday 18 June; and finish off in front of their home fans at Accor Stadium in Sydney for Game Three on Wednesday 9 July.

The Westpac NSW Women’s Origin team will have the honour again of kicking off the NRL’s Magic Round at Suncorp Stadium on Thursday 1 May; head to Allianz Stadium in Sydney for the first time for Game Two on Thursday 15 May; and finish off in Newcastle with Game Three at McDonald Jones Stadium on Thursday 29 May.

The schedule has also been set for the CABE NSW Under 19s Men’s and Westpac NSW Under 19s Women’s Origin teams with both games to be played at the Sunshine Coast on Thursday 19 June. The matches will again be broadcast live on Fox Sports and the Nine Network.

In a further boost for fans, Blatchys Blues tickets will go on sale to the general public today at 4pm for the second game of the Ampol State of Origin series in Perth.

Optus Stadium has proven a happy hunting ground for NSW with the Blues scoring convincing wins at the ground in 2019 and again in 2022. The Blues won Game Two 38-6 in 2019 with Tom Trbojevic scoring a hat-trick, and 44-12 in 2022 with Nathan Cleary scoring 22 points for the match.

The Westpac NSW Blues will be out to defend the Shield in 2025 after they became only the third team in more than four decades to win a series decider in Brisbane. The Blues this year lost the opening game 38-10 in Sydney, but rebounded to win 38-18 in Melbourne and 14-4 in Brisbane.

The Westpac NSW Women’s Origin team will be looking to reclaim the Shield after losing this year’s series 2-1 in what was the first time the concept had moved to three games for women; the CABE NSW Under 19s Men will be looking to keep their unbeaten run going having won the past three series; while the Westpac NSW Under 19s Women will be aiming for back-to-back Shields.

Tickets for all other Origin games will go on sale at a later date.
