A standout year in 2024 has set Wentworthville Magpies captain Caitlin Turnbull up for a bright 2025 campaign.
The outside back started the year off strongly, playing for the Monaro Colts in the Women’s Country Championships on the wing – scoring four tries in two games.
Coming off that impressive stint with the Colts, Turnbull signed with the Wentworthville Magpies for the Harvey Norman NSW Women’s Premiership season.
Making her debut in the No.1 jersey for the Magpies in Round One, Turnbull was key in helping to lead the team to claim their first Minor Premiership.
Throughout the season, the Magpies captain played 11 games, scored 13 tries, 11 try assists, 18 line-breaks, 123 tackle-breaks and averaged 168 running metres.
One of the standout performances in 2024 for Turnbull was the Round Two clash against the Cronulla-Sutherland Sharks, where the fullback scored four tries and had three-line breaks in the Magpies 38-10 victory.
With a bright future ahead of her, Turnbull will be pushing for an even bigger year in 2025.
